Tops of fenders and around the door handles, the white factory paint is worn thin. Has anyone else had this trouble?
On our old 1992 Plymouth mini van, we had the same problem and DOdge fixed it for a smal co-pay. This was the era of why primer when the seal coat work just as well....NOT!!! Is there recourse thru GM?

GM use to have a "repaint program" however the rules were you had to be the original owner, and a '93 doesn't cut it for the year. this was back when they had the primer problem..I think the paint wasn't stickign to the primer was the exact problem. They fixed it back in '90, and vehicles after that are not eligible. Plus with your's being close to 10 years old, they will consider it general wear and tear..not a defect.
We had our 89 p/u repainted from GM, sanded down to bare metal, ENTIRE truck, even the inside of the bed, due to the primer problem. This was back in '94, it was only 5 years old, and was right when they came up with the repaint fix. However I know a lot of people who had the problem worse than ours, that didn't get anywhere with GM...we luckily had a good relationship with the owner of the dealership (he's since sold JERK!)....and got ours redone.

good luck, but your best bet is to go to a paint shop, and have them do it, your $$ of course.
