Has anyone painted their ralley wheels? I am thinking about sandblasting mine, and painting them black and putting new beauty rings on them. Has anyone else done this? Do you have pics? I think it would look good, but wanna see if anyone else has done it?

<font color=purple> I was going to do it to mine , but I needed them on right away. I've seen it on another Blazer in town and I liked the look alot ! I still might do mine when I get my new tires on.

I did mine, I just hit them with some scotch brite and shot them with some gray wheel paint. Now I'm waiting to find some rings for cheap, rally's are awsome, I don't know about black though unless your truck is black.I've also seen them painted the color of the truck, like blue or chev orange red with rings looks cool... silver definately looks good though.

I painted my steel ralley wheels the color of my truck, I left off the beauty rings off becuase I liked them with out them on, but thats just my taste. I think they look great painted, I just sanded the orig, silver paint, primed, then shot them with blue. Good luck keeping the ring on when your on the trail. I ran some of those years ago and really like the looks but mine kept getting bashed and knocked off so I eventually tossed them. Anyway, if you blast them, make sure you use a good quality "self-etching" primer followed by a sealer before painting. Otherwise, they will chip badly and look bad very quick. If the paint is still in good shape and you just want to change colors, go down to a body shop supply and pick up a couple of "Red 3M Scotch-bright pads". Scuff it up good with the pads and then just spray the paint.

I did mine in Argent....dint really care about the truck at the time so I did it with a brush. The centercaps and rings hide all the nastys. Looks fine just not show quality.

Had a set of 5 done for my Chalet...had them powder coated the original camero silver in town for $125. Powder coating cost more than a rattle can but it lasts forever! My 2 cents.
