Paris' road rage From: By Justine Parker September 23, 2005 Busted ... she might have been done for dodgy driving, but Paris knows what cars are really good for / AFP PARTY princess Paris Hilton has reportedly been busted for dodgy driving after claiming she was being hounded by stalking snappers. A Beverly Hills cop forced the alleged speed queen to stop on swanky Rodeo Drive in front of gawking tourists, The New York Post reported. The billionaire hotel heiress is facing a hefty $US300 ($394) fine after she was pulled over in her $US155,000 Bentley for "making an improper turn" and driving without her front number plate. The 24-year-old tried to escape a rap by claiming the paparazzi were hounding her. But celebrity snapper Frank Rohmer reckons he wasn't chasing her, claiming Hilton always drives as though she's auditioning for Speed 3. "She was pointing at us, saying that it was our fault," he said to the Post. "She always drives crazy." The bust is the latest setback for Hilton, who has also been blackballed by fashion designer Valentino Garavani, head of Italian label Valentino. The 72-year-old couture king reportedly shuddered when asked by the New Yorker if he would design the dress for Paris' upcoming wedding to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. "I don't like her. She is marrying the son of a friend of mine. They have billions," he said. "She is vulgar, and she is not even pretty." Meanwhile, the battle of the besties rages on, with word Hilton and ex-best friend Nicole Richie came head-to-head at an Emmys after-party earlier this week. The Simple Life co-stars kept their distance after a society scheduling blunder saw the rivals invited to the same bash, at Hollywood's Roosevelt Hotel, the New York Post reported. Hilton hung out with tween queen Mary-Kate Olsen and rocker Rod Stewart's model daughter Kimberley, while Richie stuck close to The O.C. star Misha Barton. But it was ex-bloodnut Lindsay Lohan who suffered the fallout. The skinny star, who has remained close to both Hilton and Richie throughout the feud, was forced to relive her Mean Girls days, dashing between both camps throughout the night in a bid to placate the warring babes.
