I have a bit of a problem at the moment. Ever since I bought my truck, it has never had a parking brake. Anyway, I had my friends dad look at my 12 bolt's brakes.. Apparently, I'm missing the components for the parking brake to hook up to and work. I ordered the parts for my rear, which is not the origional.. it's out of a 79 K10 Pickup. The problem is that one or more of the parts has been "discontinued" so, I need to know where I can find the parts just for my parking brake to hook onto in the drum. I tried the parts out of my friend's 12 bolt from his K-5.. but they wouldn't work because his breaks are a different size than mine. Anyone know where I can get these parts for the brakes? I beleive they're called the parking brake lever, the parking brake strut and the strut spring. This should be all I need for the P-brake to hook up to and work, right?

The problems with the local yards is that they demand money before hand... plus, they never let you look for what you want personally... you can't just roam. The local yards suck around here. I'll give it a try anyway. Any other suggestions?

That really bites. I love wandering through junkyards! It's the guy equivalent of the wifes day at the mall. [IMG]
