    I need 2 parts,
    1. front driveshaft
    2. dust cover for front brakes (thing that goes behind the rotor that the caliper mounts on)

I have an 83, diesel, what years/models could I pull these parts off of?

What transfer case? As for the dust covers, any ten bolt, D44 ought to work.

As far as the disc brake shields go, get rid of them. I took them off and now less crap gets stuck between them.
As far as driveshafts go, you should get one from a truck with the same front axle as yours and the same tcase.

The shields are spot welded in four places, I believe, to the caliper mount. You can take a 4 1/2" grinder and get the shields off and throw them away.
When I did it, I had the mounting brackets off the truck because I was putting in new balljoints. I don't think it would be very easy to get to them with them on the truck, but I could be wrong.

On my 82 when i ran a turbo350 with a 208 t/case i used the front drive shaft from a 91 with a 700r4 and 241 t/case with no problems it bolted right in place on the 208.
