Why did they ever put carpet in the Blazer?? I pulled out all of the carpet today and guess what? Yup the rear is rotted in areas. I kind of was prepared for this and cut out the box of my 77 before I junked it. That one was pretty bad too but I kept it for patching. Here's what I am thinking of doing. It's rotted out right near the gate and also at both of the rear body mounts. Now, in theory I should be able to simply (ha, ha) cut patches to fit and weld them in right? Anyone ever do this? SHould'nt be too difficult right?

If it don't fit, force it.
