    paul, i got her started today!! i didnt screw with the timing yet cause i didnt have time, but there is a unusual amount of gas coming out of the tube on top of the carb. is this screwed up? is it time for a edelbrock? lol

    anyone else also, i would appreciate any input.

    hey i think if you are really good with a scriber and have a steady hand you can get it back into place with out removing the carb /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    yeah, just unscrew the flatblade screw, take that little bracket off, rehook the bottom, then put the bracket back on. luckily its an older Q, the newer ones have a fixed upper bracket... flashlight will be handy to see down that chokerod hole.. if ya need a hand give me a yell, i could prolly stop by tuesday after work...

    sounds good paul. i shuold be able to do it. would that prevent the truck from starting?

    hopefully my battery will be charged when i get home and ill find out.

    yeah, that'll screw ya up.. choke wont open or close properly.. it'll start but the choke will more than likely stay closed.... you could manually operate the blade when ya fire it up.. but it should be an easy fix... any probs, give me a buzz tonight, i'm "usually" home by 6... 732 237 9354

    might be a float level problem cuasing the fuel to come out of the vent....If your gonna upgrade Go with a
    SPEED DEMON.. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
