not sure how you can prove that it is safe other then the small lock that will be on the bottom of your brower's screen when you log in. I have had my PP account for 5 years with no problems yet.

To show her that it is safe just deal in small amounts at first. This is just a suggestion as i do not have one myself. What must you do to get started setting one up?

dude you CAN"T get screwed by paypal. only by people you might be paying.

paypal doesent pay OUT the money untill that have it, a day or two for people transfering from a bank and instant from a CC.

someone sends you money it is yours the seconed you acsept it so you can spend it or withdraw it.

only way you can get screwed is if you use it to send money and the person on the other end renags on the deal and screws you.

but even then you can file a claim thru paypal and get your cash back.

just show your mom ebay of the millions of auctions going on 99% of them use paypal, hell most ONLY deal with paypal, they wouldent be doing it if it was shady.

i have had my acount for 2 or 3 years and no probs!!:waytogo:

No, you can get screwed big time. If anyone files a complaint or you buy something that paypal wants to investigate,t hey can freeze your account

If you're just buying jackets and CD's though, no worries

poop I lost the auction... Paypal itself is safe. Scammers use emails to try and trick you, same for ebay. I have even used paypal buyer credit. After I used my first 2K with paypal I then linked it to my checking acct. If you do that it shows how safe it is.

Don't worry about it, Paypal has wierd policies, so sometimes if you buy wierd stuff they freeze your account

i am not sure if you need the CC to verifi but it doesent cost anything.

they charge you a naminal fee i thin 4.00 bucks and the bill on the CC will be paypall 4356, you go online and type 4356(or what ever it is) and it shows that you are at the address of the card, and it is yours.

after that they credit your account 4 bucks.

CC is good, if something were to go wrong like a guy screwing you or someone buy something with your money ( like you got suckered throgh a spoff email and gave your password away) you can get paypal to follow up on it and you can cancel the payment thru the CC company.

remember NEVER click a link in an email from ebay or paypal, thet wants your password just dont!!
