I need names, and if possible addresses or phone numbers of custom 4x4 shops in Texas. Hard to find anything besides california or colorado listings on the net. I need 4x4 custom shops from complete buildups to axle assembiles to suspension work to cage work, whatever. Thanks. I'll be compiling my list and putting it where it's easily accessible.

I know about sunray engineering in weatherford, who else is out there?

Bryan, I know there are a few in Houston, maybe some Houston guys out there can help. I also know of a couple in San Antonio. I'll dig up the names and let you know. As far as down here where I'm at, we're lucky we have a friggin' Pep Boys. However, there is an excellent shop here called G&G Auto Wrecking. It is run by a couple of brothers that do a lot of mud racing. They pretty much do everything there, a lot of custom fab. They know what they're doing.

Here is the info:

G&G Auto Wrecking
4 1/2 Mi S 23rd
McAllen, Tx 78557

thanks, I do most of MY own work, but I need a list for two reasons...one is that I know a lot of people that'd rather pay to have it done. Two, is that I'm graduating college with an engineering technology degree in a year, and I'm researching places to WORK. Keep em coming...

Laketex,
This one may be a little closer:
The Off Road Shop in Garland. I have been there for driveshaft work and observed a lot of radical work going on. They have probably 12 bays in a super clean shop. There are Hummers everywhere, and half disassembled vehicles with roll cages being welded in , etc... Good Luck.

Just had a limited slip economically installed in the front by:
RATS - Race and Truck Specialist
13542 Vargon St.

They have a few dragsters and big lifted trucks. One K5 has a boxed up frame, at least 12 suspension with 3" body lift, and there is a huge 4 door 3/4 ton lifted Chevy for sale. These guys know their stuff and are inexpensive.
