Man.. just have to gloat a bit.. it's January 8th and it's 70 degrees outside.. I'm off today.. I'm getting work done to my 83 finally for the upcoming Slab run..
I installed my new Explorer Pro-comp hubs (very nice) and great quality...
And getting my front caliper installed all's I have left is the rear brakes.. and I'm ready to go..

I'm hoping it lasts to the weekend when I shave the 14 bolt, swap it in, convert the front to 8 lug, mount my 36's, hack the fenders, install my new custom bumper and spare tire carrier...and what else? Milk the farm cow, plow the feilds, etc... [IMG]

Well it's not quite 70 here but mid 50's is pretty good for a January day...even here. It's raining though so I think I'll stick to CK5.[IMG]

Amen to that, brother. Awesome weather these past couple of days. Too bad I spent them indoors working my rear off...

Phoenix Arizona's high 82 low 52. I got lots done to my K5 today and made a lap around the city after dark with no top. You can't beat the weather here, even in the summertime as far as I'm concerned. "It's a dry heat"

I took it upon myself to clean out the undercarrige real good so I only have a little bit of dirt getting in my eyes this weekend while I'm working on it instead of big dirt globs. I should just buck up and get some goggles cause I can't stand crap falling in my eyes! Arg!

i second that, this week in wonderfully mild virginia (the south, yeah right) has been in the 20's and 30's with snow. something about a beach and snow doesn't mix. who needs to replace engine coolant when it's that cold outside.

If it can't be broken then I haven't had it.

Re: Perfect Day.. January and it\'s 70 degrees ! doing much needed work.

Got to work on it again today...on the pipe that crosses under the tranny there are two falnges, so it can be removed and the tranny dropped with out dropping the exhaust on my truck...turns out the tranny shop stripped out the studes on them thouigh, so I had some nice exhaust leaks. Whipped out the 18" breaker bar and broke half of the studs in half. Tapped (or died?) out the remaining ones, and put the bolts back on. Huge leaks of course, seeing as how I was missing a bolt or two on each side. Found a spark plug wire on the garage floor with the insulation ripped off...looke kinda like rope...stuck the rope i nthe crack where the exhaust was leaking and wrapped duct tape around it. The spark plug wire won't burn like rope would, and if it does it just melts into the hole. the duct tape burns on and forms a perfect seal...done it before. I love ghettoing things!!!!!!!!!
