TCO- Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, at the remodel of the Hospital I'm working at. This is a very big deal for us. This phase of the remodel is in excess of 19 million buckaroos and now the hospital staff has a legal right to begin to move in.

Boss's are happy, I'm happy. A big wight has been lifted of this stress burdoned body.

    Time to celebrate.:D

Mostly cuz I don't know but, why is there a temporary? I'm assuming they'll be moving in things that don't require a full time (or whatever) certificate?

This job is done in several different phases,

    Phase one remodel vacated area

Phase two, move ER area into just remodeled area, gut and finish.

Then the final occupancy can be submitted for final inspection.

That will happen in about 6 months.

A working ER? Or just all the stuff that goes there? I'm just really curious. I do understand the relief. Definately not on that monetary scale but kinda sorta the same. Inspections suck.

Yes, working ER. The hospital will switch overnight on June 26, from the old ER into the new area. Then their old area will get remodeled for a well needed expansion.

Ahhh. I can imagine alot of the hurdles y'all must have had to jump over to get all that done. Specially with new codes and what not that I'm sure were tiresome to say the least.

    Kool, post a photo...............
I used to install Lab equipment when I was 18 to 22 yo. Very strict at the hospitals, and extremely strict at the one Nuke plant I installed the lab equipment at.

I finally got the camera out today and took some shots. Doing a rough estimate the interior sq ft is approximatly 9,000.

The outside now features a drive up under a cantilevered horseshoe, which was wild to see being built and even more amzing that it didn't collapse after the scaffolding was removed.

The Tower as we call it is a glass structure 40 tall and open in the inside, which is nicknamed the solarium.

The security station is now state of the art in electronics and survailance, which is truely need in this mostly inner city hospital. The nurses have all put money into a pool guessing how long it will be until bullitt holes end up in the new glass tower.

The waiting area now features 3, 40" LCD tv's., all will be tuned to the Barney station:rolleyes: .

Bullitt proof glass now protects the admissions staff trying to help sick or dying people.

This is only half of the new ER phase. The second phase will include all new operating rooms. Big Bucks to build. Around 5,000 sq ft of treatment rooms.

So far this has taken about 9 months to build. Second phase should take around 6 months. We also have several more projects going on in this hospital. Basicly it is a 120 milllion dollar remodel.

That all? Cheap at twice the price I say.

    Ko I'm a little lost. What's 9000 sq.ft? Each floor or what?
