    Okay you phoenix renters.

I am looking for a place for me and the GF. We are looking north of peoria and east of arrowhead (don't want to drive that far).

Any horror stories places to avoid?
    Any awsome places to find?

Any advice to a first time renter?

    Thanx
    Matt

Rent a house!!! Apartments don't have storage and you can get a house for not to much sometimes. We didn't look in that area to much but depending on your budget, you can often times get a house for the same or maybe just a little bit more.

    Just a thought.:D

We spent 3 years in a one bedroom before buying my home . 21,000 dollars down the drain , that will never come back :eek1:

If you both have jobs , you may qualify for a home anyway . Find a realtor and see whats available . If you'd like to keep your money going into something no one can tell you what to do in .

Ours was a first time buyer thingy where the seller rebated some money for our down ( probably tacked on to our price though ) . So we put nothing down .

Well spent most of sunday looking for an apartment. This game sucks. So do apartments in general. Noisy ass places, junk gets stolen, and I have to lug my tools up stairs after wheeling (not fun with a 115# ammo box.).

Now the search is on for a rental house around $900/mo. We can't afford a morgage with owners insurance ect, since I am in school still (or forever depending on if you are a pesimist or an optimist) and only work part time. The GF is a grade shcool teacher and gets paid like one.

I want to stay west of 7th ave and north of bethany. I live in one of those fancy areas known as a pocket ghedo (pocket of nice homes surrounded by cheap ass section 8 apartments).

If you phoenix folk see anything hit me up please. If you guys know of a sweet place to search or any tricks that will help too.

    Thanx

I'll set Jenn on the case. She seems to be pretty good at finding houses.

Oh yea , I forogt about the current prices . So it may be a higher payment if I bought it today .

But there are still good priced fixer uppers , or need to sells out there .

Whether you own , rent , or lease . You are going to be better off in a house .

Anyway , is the homewarming party BYOB or not :wink1:
