Looking into buying a photo printer. Not looking at anything too special, probably just a 4X6 type. Looking for suggestions in regards to brands/styles. Do you have one you like/hate or know someone pleased or unhappy with theirs?? There are so many out there that I figured I would solicit opinions before talking to some salesperson I've never seen before. Thanks,
    Nick

HP 7960 and we love it. Pics come out very well. You can't go wrong with any HP printer as a general rule.

I have a Cannon i850. It does awsome pics. It is a regular printer though, not just a 4x6 printer. You can load 4x6 paper into it and use it as such.

Do you just want a printer for photos or do you want a printer for everything?
I Have two Lexmark printers that suck.
I have an HP 930 that works really good and does great pictures too.
I've had a cannon bubble jet that was junk too so i'd say the 930 is the best
so far. I've had some others but I can't remember them all.
HP makes some really good stuff in general.

Just got an Epson Stylus CX4600 printer/scanner/copier. With rebates it's about $80 ($130 or so without rebate). I don't remember what the resolution is but I know it beats the 'ell outa my old Lexmark that has 1200 dpi. The Epson has individual ink cartridges verses one of those "all in one". Don't know how that equates to ink longevity. I'll let you know next week after I print Christmas pix.

I'm not sure, I read a review ans it said it was cheapest in it's class....

But for $45 I'd buy a new printer...... hehehehehe

I had an HP5550 that went to **** (and was WAYYYY too huge) and the carts for that were $60!

The printer is a Canon i350

Looks like $6 for black and $15 for colour on newegg
