I'm almost certin that the old headers were 2 wheel drive style. K5Jimmy..correct me if I'm wrong. The new headers are Heddman headers made for a 4 wheel drive.

Give me the part no. for the new headers, quick!!! I had a similar problem with small block Hedman headers once too. The parts store didnt have the 4wd headers and gave me the 2wd saying they were the same thing. WRONG! They fit like [censored]! So they got the right no.s and those fit like they were supposed to. Your old headers look exactly like the correct ones I had to get to replace the wrong ones.
Keep in mind, Hedman also makes the shorter headers to fit up in the frame rails more. These are not the block huggers, but just shorter headers. I hate these also. Give me the part no. from the new headers and I will see what the correct part no.s are.

Mkay...the Napa Balkamp number is 811-1028...and that fits '57 thru '91 Chevy 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton 4x4 trucks and blazers with auto trannies, engine blocks 283 thru 400. 811-1025 for manual trannies. Expect to pay $184.00. I get a discount since nick works at napa [IMG].
