PICS- Flexin out the 1 tons & 38\'s!

Heres some pictures of Hollister hills this weekend...
Went out there to have some fun and test out my new setup... A selectable locker up front is amazing... my ARB is awsome!

Got my WTO redneck ram on and working.. Even with an un mod-ed PS pump for now it seems to make quite a difference. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I also got hung up in this one spot on my transfercase and crossmember... Notice my new body damage to the drivers side rocker. Its about ready to fall off. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Now my door doesn't want to stay shut. Can you say time for rocksliders!? ...Also bashed my fenders a little...
    ...and my gas tank. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Wheeling in the rain on wet rocks makes it very slippery and crappy traction. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wow, that is an awesome blazer! You've got alot of the essential mods: 1 tons, 38's, locker, 205, hydro...and I'm sure the list goes on! Now all you need is some body armor and you'll be set! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Ahhh... I see what yer talking about now..
Some first gens came with two crossmembers like that...
The forward most one is the crossmember that my th350/205 adapter bolts to... the one more to the rear doesn't do a damn thing, other than strengthen up the frame and protect the d-shaft a little. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

It seems on 1st gens some got 2 crossmembers and some didn't.I not sure if Ryans truck was orig a standard trans or not but that is a possibility.Auto trans had one crossmember standard trans had two?
Mine is an orig. auto Blazer and I only have one.But then I think Burt4x4 has an auto with two crossmembers.

almost all of mine have had the 2nd crossmemebr, there is surpose to be a plate between the two x-members to protect the t-case. stock GM steel plate at like 1/4" thick. I have one going on my wagon and Wes has my extra one .

    Looks awesome Ryan!!

Are the two crossmembers identical? My Burb is a TH350/NP205 and I only have the one crossmember. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I might need to scour the JYs. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Ben- Negative, the front crossmember for the 350/205 adapter bolts to both the upper and lower framerails... the rear crossmember only bolts to the lower framerail.
...the rear crossmember is like half of the front one. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Guest- I put in 6" front/8" rear softride springs and ORD 1" body pucks when i replaced all the body mounts. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Hacked the fenders for the rest of the clearance for the 38's... my old 35's on 1/2 ton axles Just cleared everything.
