This was started by a vehicle that went off the road and flipped. The aircraft. P-3 I think is used to drop slurry on the fire.

Nope not part of any shotgun hippie incident. Sorry. Here is a couple pics of the Bronco and 6X6 atv that started the mess.

Fire isn't out yet. This morning it was up to 1500 acres and they were planning on bringing aircraft in again to battle it. Hope the driver has good insurance. Seems like it will be a large bill.

this was over by the town of Paradox near the Utah border. If you take 141 west out of Whitewater and go to hwy 90 just north of naturita then turn west and go like 25 miles you will be in paradox and its about 3 miles from there. Most of the fire support came from Utah other than the aircraft. It is in the La sal national forest.

Vehicle was a 1983 full size bronco and a six wheeled ATV was in the back.

There was a good size pall of smoke over the front range tonight, wonder if that's from your fire.

Nope several fires in Colorado now. Cottonwood canyon I think one was called. Another in costilla county near La Veta Pass and one west of Denver.
