We headed to Pismo for a week to escape the heat of Bako. Pismo was freaking cold all week. The marine layer only burned off one day, but that didn't keep us out of the water. It was our first time staying at the Pismo Coast Village and it really wasn't my kind of camping. The sites were too close together and there were too many damn people there. Luckily we had 2 sites next to each other and we made more room. Despite the close quarters it was an awesome trip. After Pismo we headed up to Bass Lake where it was a bit warmer but the campground was the kind of camping I like. No hookups and at night you can hear people but you can't see anyone. We spent most of the days on the lake with our friends and their boat so the heat wasn't felt at all. Nights were cool but I was able to chill by a small fire wearing only shorts. Good fishing, good company and lots of fun. Enjoy the pics. Evan was a little cold on our early morning bike ride on the beach. Campsite with all the kids. We ended up having 5 more than what is in the picture for a total of 11. Our little Surfer Dude. Our day camp on the beach. Kyle was a little tired and fell asleep like this. A little fishing at Bass Lake. Savannah showing off. Kyle pulling some moves too. A little king of the inner tube action And finally the manditory pic of the family in front of the sign.
