    Pics of Mudzer\'s Demise!

I finally got around to uploading a few pics of removing the K5 tub from my frame.

Pic of it on my new trailer.

    Can you say Body Lift?

Here's Todd putting the Smackdown on my bedsides.

The teardown of my K5 ended a 10 year long era. I've had that rig for over 10 years and had alot of fun. Now, I need to get the new project finished to take its place. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Sorry to see it go man. That was the first real full size rock crawler I ever saw in person, kind of my first inspiration. I guess it was time for a change though, cant wait to see the S-TON in action.

I'm jealous, but the neighbors liked my pine tree and a come-along riging to get mine lifted off. Just wish I would of though to put a chock out for when I dragged the frame out from underneath with the girlfriends (now wife) car and had to keep backing up till it stopped rolling. LOL

Damn Neil, the rig was still nice! I would have certainly finished off the body first. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Re: Pics of Mudzer\'s Demise!

The pics do mucho justice to my rig. Ask Chris Todd - the first time he saw my K5 in the shop, he said "Well... It looks different in the pictures!!!"

The body mounts were completely shot, the floor would buckle under my feet, the bedsides were held together with a ratchet strap (A favorite mod of theBigdaddyof2), the bedsides would flop if the strap wasn't there.

    It was completely shot!

The truck was ready for a rebuild and I can't wait to see the lower, leaner look of the new S-TON.

Todd kept the roll bars for his project. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I will vouch for this. Neil's truck was beat! Good luck on the new project, mang.

The 3rd pic shows how we removed the bedsides from the floor...with a wrecking bar!
Not much of the floor, cab mounts or underbody left...just like mine!

    Ahh...kinda sad.

I know that the cab that is on my truck now (that is TRASHED!!) is pretty rust free, it'd honestly be a shame to waste it, but it's so bashed now it's junk anyway.
