The K5 with 1 Ton Drivetrain installed.
Closeup of the Beadlock Rims.
YOWSA!!!! That thing is looking good! Have you tried those tires off road yet? I was looking at a set at the local 4WPW and couldn't decide what they were designed to do best. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
thats one HOT blazer!! congrats on the 1 tonness!! lol... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Slick truck...I'm digging the rims.
What kind of tires are those? The sidewall tread design is very unique.
Very nice /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif Mudzer--really like the soft top! /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

That thing looks sweet! Are the rims Rockstomper?
Beefy! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif
The Rims are my design. I used AutoCad to design them. I did use some ideas from Rockstomper and Trail Ready. The rims are just cheap 15x10 Wagon wheels in 3.625" Backspacing. Major grinding on the calipers! I had a friend with a plasma cutter table burn the rings out and weld them to the rims. He worked for Weld Racing in Kansas City for a while, plus he races Midget Sprints so he knew a few things about beadlocks.
The K5 is FAR from done. I have garage full of parts. Stay tuned for a WMS Doubler with Clocked NP203 (upside down) and NP205 flat setup. I hope to plate the bottom of the frame like Watson's rig with zero hanging below the frame - better breakover angle.
One word on the rims. These have been mounted for a week now and have not leaked. The tires are not balanced at all and drive absoutely fine and free of wobbles.
The tires are the Interco TrXus STS which I acquired back in January of this year. I "tested" them at the Midwest Spring K5 Thing in Disney Oklahoma in March. Interco sent me the first set of 38" radials off the mold. They work well in slickrock and dirt. They have a little tight pattern for Mud, but they are not marketed as a Mud Tire. I plan to wheel a little this fall, then out comes the tire groover to try a few things with the tread.
Thanks for the comments. I wish my digital camera would take better pics! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Looks good. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I like the beadlocks. Any more pics of them?
Will be interesting to see the tires grooved.

What an amazing paint job on those beadlocks !! Who ever did those must be a artist with a spray can. Excellant work i must say !
(ok guys, I'll admit it, it was me.)
Those tires leave nice ruts in your yard too! (Maybe I shouldnt mention the Nascar style rub marks?)

Great job, Neil!
Looks awesome /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
One question: How do you access your valve stems? Are they some special angled stems I don't know about. I'm currently having a shop build my beadlocks and that's one of my concerns.
