Pics of My blazer with new engine and 2\" body lift

Just got her finished last week. Got the engine from wayne and put a crane cam, dynomax headers, and Edlebrock performer manifold on it. Then put the 2 inch body lift on to ensure clearance for 35's. Take a look. The bottom 3 pics are with the body lift. http://community.webshots.com/album/44620299LhopZY

What brand soft top is that? I love the way it angles down after the rear seat, instead of going straight down at the tailgate. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

nofeartruckin00 - Its a Specialty Top Company Snap-Top with tinted windows. Its been great and it barely leaks around the tops of the windows but keeps out water way better then the hard top. Much quieter too.

Wayne - She runs great /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. You probably wouldn't recognize it though. Its now orange with a lot of crome. Thanks alot man.

Is there any lift other than the 2" body lift? I am planning on doing 3" body lift on mine so I can put 35s under it. Similar color too, but two tone with black.

Re: Pics of My blazer with new engine and 2\" body lift

I've got 4 inch lift blocks in the back with suburban leaf packs so total rear suspension lift is between 5 and 6 inches. In the front I have 4 inch springs with add-a-leaves so probably 5 in the front. I plan to add longer shakcles and that should bring the front level with the back. In my webshots account, go into K5 pics and the first couple of pics are of the truck with a sagging 4 inch lift(i guess that would make it 3") and 33's. That should give you some idea of what yours would look like lift-wise.

Re: Pics of My blazer with new engine and 2\" body lift

After looking at the pictures I'm starting to wonder if I could go bigger then 35's. What do you guys think? If I think I could go bigger then 35's these are the choices: 35x12.5-15 Goodyear MT/R's, 36x12.5-15 Super Swamper TSL Radials, 37x12.5-15 Goodyear MT/R's. I'll be bringing the front up another inch with shackles so the truck will sit level and I don't mind some minor trimming. The truck doesn't flex well at all(suburban rear springs with 4" blocks and 4" front springs with add-a-leaves) so do you think I could run bigger then 35's? I have bugeted for gearing and beefed up axle shafts from ORD. What do you all think about the tires I've listed. Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks.

IMHO don't mess with beefed up shafts. Just go to one tons. You can probably get into a set of one tons with 4:56's and lockers for the same amount or less then regearing, upgrading what you already have. I would go with the 37" MTR's.
I looked at the pics and she does look sweet. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I am planning on 39.5's on 4" of lift with minor fender trimming. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif Actually my K5 is going on a diet to lose about 500 pounds. If you don't mind cutting you can probably get 37's on now.

With that top, do you have more or less clearance (headroom front and back, sides near windows, etc.) on the inside? I am concerned about clearance for a roll cage. In one of your pix, it looks like there may be less room in the rear where the soft top curves down.

but very nice truck, i barely found a nice 85, now its got a decent amount of undercarriage ruat due to the salty life it lead in garrett county....lots of snow = lots of rust 17 yrs later....

I live near Columbia in Howard county. My brothers girl friend is an RA at a dorm at college park. Do you know any good spots to wheel around here. All the ones I used to go to have been closed down /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
