Well.. I've decided to keep my 76 Blazer.. It's worth making a trail-rig only.. I had it up for sale.. had lot's of interest..
    But I'll commit to it..
Pics of it are on my homepage "link below" under "green giant" page..
what do you all think? Some finish work need's to be done.. but I want to give a big thank you to Bruce.. "batmanjr" who was more than willing to help me cut the top and he's a great welder.. Bruce.. you da man...
Also Bruce is the voice of reason for talking me into keeping the truck.. Damn you Bruce.. j/k.. [IMG]

Taking my white 83.. The 454 is out of the Green one.. That's for Wes.. now I just need to ad my 350 I have sitting in my garage to the 76, then it's trailready..
    Thanks Mudhog..
Cutting was the easy part.. now come's the clean up and fill job's and minor detail work..
Now if I can only find a soft-top for it.. id be set.. and a roll-cage.

How did you reinforce the body before you chopped the top, or didn't you?

    I didn't re-inforce anything..
The 75-77's have reinforced tub's.. there are Rocker Boxes underneath that are about 1/8 inch thick plates that tie the frame to the tub.. So reinforcement isn't necessary on these model year's.. Chevy stopped putting in Rocker boxes 78 and on..
So..I just hacked away.. truck seem's really rigid still..
I did however, weld in 1x1 tubing above the windshield frame to make that stronger..
I'm very pleased with how it turned out.. and love the open air truck's..
