Lots of pictures, so dial up beware. I found a bunch of old pictures, and compiled a new mountainexplorer historical story: Sorry if I'm using up too much bandwidth. If I am, just delete this. Earliest memories include living in a house that was being remodeled. From a young age, Allan liked having many used cars and trucks. He would sometimes help the construction effort going on around him. Though there was no wedding or paperwork, Allan felt as if he was in a marriage relationship from the start. From a young age, he experienced and learned what living with a woman was like in a playhouse setting after school and on weekends. He labored by day and by evening, building structures out of scrap boards and items laying around the yard. When fullsize playhouses weren't enough for him and the neighborhood gang, he'd spend alone time up north building and making campsites, often collecting too many campers and RV's. There were occasional family visits from family Allan's Dad's side, meaning he was often around people in their 60's and even 70's. He raised two chickens in the backyard until they grew large enough they had to go to a farm setting. But Allan's bird pet phase wasn't over... he was the founder and builder of Bird City, and the population of bird city skyrocketed over the years. Allan had a sensitive emotional side. He almost cried when they decided to sell the old 1960 Chevy truck. He always had plenty of girls over, but no romantic sparks. Relationships were strictly platonic. He learned how to tow trailers long before driving a car. Allan's Dad was lost to cancer when he was 15. Allan got older, and grew up like all people must... but he carried with him those habits of the past... Collecting older cars and trucks at age 14... And tried being a body/paint man once at 14; hence learning from his first project, he should never do bodywork... Still was building things out of wood and scraps at age 16... And collecting Campers and creating fullsize campsites at age 17 and 18... It also didn't help matters that Allan's School had, for this area, the oddest looking School Bus around known as "The Twinkie".
