Pictures of grinding for 3/4 ton axle/15\" wheels

Can anyone show me a picture of where they had to grind their front backing plate so that your 15" wheels would clear? I know a number of you have heavy duty running gear here, so if someone with a D44 or 10 bolt that's 8 lug or a Dana 60 front and could show me where (and somewhat) how much I'm going to have to grind, it would be greatly appreciated. My wheels are 4.125 backspacing, so I am fairly sure a good amount of grinding will be necessary.

Thanks a lot. I am planning on swapping out my front axle the middle of next week. The whole axle must be swapped because I've got one already with 4.10s to match the back, and the current axle has 3.08s. As soon as I get my axle back, it's time to go wheelin' again!

I had to grind more off the caliper holders than the backing plate. There is an article in the tech section that will walk you through it. Grind until you think you have done enough, then spray the area with primer, put the wheels on and spin them. You will see where the primer has been rubbed off and where you need to grind more. Time consuming, but not super hard. Sorry I don't have any pic's of when I did mine.

Be glad you are doing a 60..... those take forever.
