pigiback info on pagers

    anyone ever poped open a pager and sodered some wires to piggie back some info on it. don't need much just some gps cordinates.

    That would be a bit tricky. Each character that is displayed is stored in a memory chip as a set of 8 bits of data. It's not something that would be easy to just "add" later. Why not just page yourself with the coordinates, then don't erase that page? /forums/images/icons/cool.gif (Or go low-tech and just print the coordinates and tape them to the back of the pager) /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

    i am looking for a demo board or evaluation board of some type. i've dealt with bit, registers and other electronics. i am sure it's possible just gotta figure out what glue logic(logic chips) to use. say i wanted to dynamicly get gps cordinates /forums/images/icons/cool.gif /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

    i know motorolla sells the eval boards, just wondering if anyone had worked with them before.
