    ok this is the second tach and it did the same as the first when I start the blazer it moves a little like getting power.I hooked it up like this one wire to the neg. on the coil one to the 12v switch power (fuse block) one wire to an eng.ground ( same as the battery gound, any help????????????

    that sounds like it should work, be sure you are on the neg. side of the coil, that is usually the wire that goes from the distributor to the coil, and be sure your ground connection is clean and making good contact, if that doesn't help double check that you have the correct wires going to the correct places for the hook-up, check the tach for any switches, some have settings for how many cylinders, be sure it is set correctly.
