Ivy or Oak? Calamine is supposed to work on Oak. Ivy...I've heard a soapy shower immediately or don't get into it in the first ****in place. Poison Ivy doesn't do anything to me so I don't know first hand. Never been into poison oak though.

I don't think it's poison oak, but whatever it is, it's a rash that itches like crazy.

    Use a condom next time.

Seriously though, try that gas station "no itch" stuff or wash it vigorously. There's a plant that will get rid of the rash but I think it's exclusive to the midwest and you'd probably get into more ivy finding the stuff.

Haha glad yall liked the way I phrased that.

I'm thinking about amputating it. Otherwise I'm just gonna scratch my arm off.

I like to itch it till it gets real red, then pour straight clorox ultra on it. Works for me. Its the only thing I have found to really dry it up fast other than the shot they give you at the doctors office.

Go to a drug store. They make soap specifically to take away the oil that causes the ich. Get that and some spray to stop the scratching. There is some stuff called Ivy Dry that we use on the kids and it works well.

Honestly, I use mud. I let the mud dry on the area affected, it seems to lift the poison out of the skin. Always works for me.

Solu-Medrol is the steroid...they come in a dose pak...we make this stuff where I work. See a doctor to get it, and make sure they give you a strong enough dose.
