i currently don't have operable blinkers (hopefully i can get that fixed tomorrow), and i got to wondering tonite as i was driving down the 2 lane-in-each-direction highway. i was passing 3 semi trucks in a row, and they were evenly spaced, but spaced closely together. now, it occurred to me that if an officer decided he wanted to pull me over while i happened to be next to these 3 trucks that i couldn't turn on a blinker so that they'd let me over so i could pull over to the right of the highway... what to do? if i cut them off to pull over, i'm in big trouble b/c that's stupid, dangerous and illegal. if i speed up, officer may think i'm running from him. if i brake to allow the semi's to pass me, that's kind of wierd. i don't know if it's ok to pull off to the left of the highway. as a cop, what would you prefer that i do in such a situation?
