    Poll: \"K5 Blazer\" Plastic Thing

    <FORM METHOD=POST ACTION="http://coloradok5.com/forums/dopoll.php"><INPUT TYPE=HIDDEN NAME="pollname" VALUE="1060275643Mastiff">

When I repaint my truck, should I keep the "K5 Blazer" thing on the fender?
    <input type="radio" name="option" value="1" />Keep it!
<input type="radio" name="option" value="2" />Remove it, fill the hole and paint over it.
    <INPUT TYPE=Submit NAME=Submit VALUE="Submit vote" class="buttons"></form>

I'm torn on this. I'd have to order a new K5 emblem, and they're hard to wax around anyway. But then, it is kind of cool too. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Re: Poll: \"K5 Blazer\" Plastic Thing

Another question I have (does it require a new poll? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif) is whether I should paint the hard top to match, leave it alone, or paint it white, or what. Any thoughts, or better yet, pictures?

I painted mine to match inside and out. My interior is black, my paint is black. A white top looked stupid outside, and a white top inside looked even more stupid when everything else is black!

My new front fenders didn't have the holes for the emblems, the new tailgate didn't have the holes for the tailgate band, so I ditched the rear fender emblems and I could not be more happy! I had the entire truck painted the same color too (it was cheaper). I'm kind of thinking about a black softtop though /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

i shaved my whole truck except the rear decal on the tailgate and ithink it looks alot sweeter i painted it black with a black out grill with a gold emblem i think shaving it makes it look alot more custom and it stands out more

Re: Poll: \"K5 Blazer\" Plastic Thing

Why bother? I made my truck "pretty" last summer by painting it in pieces (ie: all glass out and everything off the truck but the cab). I bought new emblems and wheelwell trim from the stealership. I never put the emblems back on because it looks better without. This summer it has more woodland pinstripes than you can imagine. Yeah, I like the Heep trails.

All that'll happen is around the emblem there will be fewer scratches. I kind of like the badgeless look, myself. I think they look pretty cool with the Silverado moulding and the fenderwell trim off a Silverado K5 (painted black stripe in it instead of bare) and nothing else. Next time I paint my truck I'm not going to put the fenderwell trim back on because all it does is corrode into pieces. Stupid crappy aluminum GM calls stainless steel.
