A union is ONLY as good as itd leadership. The union I belong to is worthless! The last 3 presidents have run right into a management position. Now they have leverage to screw us with and they're working at that. We finally voted in some decent people. Hopefully it'll move in better direction.

I belong to a Union. Basically have too. I could have said no but then I could be screwed at work. They actually work and fight for us here. If not I'd still be making minimum wage... and thank God I am not.... I think some suck and are not very good, but there's always good and bad in everything in life....

Company's are finding ways to side step unions. Here at the mills, they have been striking, to no avail. Jobs are scarce again and there are many scabs ready to step up.

He should keep his knowledge where it belongs, in the tech forums. He's just a pompous idiot over here that it's pathetic.

We already went rounds about unions a few months ago.

There are good and bad points to unions...I'm making good bucks to work with a lot of dumb people. Our plant has at least 3 ppl. who can't read or write. On the other hand...I make a living wage for the family for the first time in our lives. I'm not happy with our representation, which keeps selling us out to the company to be polite.
