Then your wheel bearings, and finally your tierod ends... 4x4 puts lots of stress on parts without that stress in 2wd

I've had this same thing when under a load and locked. Definitely something up front popping when I'm turning. Sounds like something is loading and then letting go. Can't find it. Everything looks ok and feels tight. I guess when it breaks I will know what it is.

Mine is doing this also and I would have sworn it was from the front end... turns out it is the chain in the tcase (203) so I am going to change that out this weekend. Hope it clears it up cause it sounds terrible!

Never thought about the transfercase chain! When it warms up this weekend I'm going get under it and start poking around. I just hope its not the bearing in the axle! My axle swap may be sooner than I had hoped for! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
