Fianlly decided to put the stuff on. Its been sitting in the garage for 2 months. Didn't have much rust, just a little in the drivers side rocker and a dime size spot of surface rust near the tailpan. Dont have to worry about it now though[IMG] Just gotta find a way to get the POR 15 off of me. It seems to get everywhere (except hootus)[IMG]

BTW - I used some awesome paint stripper called Bix I got at Home Depot. Didn't have to do too much work, put on the stripper, waited an hour and wirebrushed all the primer(?) on the bottom from the factory off. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

Can the POR 15 be bought at local shops like Pep Girls or is it only a catalog item.

When I used to get paint on me, I'd use a brillo pad (PAIN). anyways, this place that makes POR-15 is only a few miles away from my house (well, at least their PO Box is). I think I may get some. it'll be really nice to coat the floor and never have to worry about the carpet making it rust again.

If I remember right, you could get POR-15 through Sears in their "Auto Shop" catalog, it had all sorts of good resto stuff in it-even a home powdercoater.

You used sandpaper?!?! (Good thing it wasn't on your hootus!!) A shaving razor seems to work pretty good (at least it took off Herculiner) You just shave the stuff off in layers.

Why do people keep calling it a Bronco!!!!! [IMG]

I never thought about a razor...I even had it on my face, but it was still wet, and got it off with fast orange...BTW that burned worse than anything has ever burned me in my life......
