Anyone tried the POR-15 Manifold Restoration Kit?

My brother's Heep's exhaust manifold has some cracks around the welds. He doesn't mind getting a new (or used) one, but for $35, this caught my attention.

    Any words of wisdom?

I dont think I'd spend any money on the old manifold--my friend works at a boneyard and they just started selling brand new exhaust manifolds, and the catolougue has a lot of listings, most under 100 bucks, /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gifwe buy lots of ford ones(302,460)and I guess the big block chevy ones at the swap meets will be a lot less now that you can buy new ones for about 60 bucks. It wouldnt hurt to POR-15 the new manifold though!. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

As for the heep manifold, that is a common problem. I would but a borla header for it and fix the problem once and for all. It bolts on and no modifications to the exhaust.
