posie locker or none

    how can i tell if a a truck has posie with out opening the dif.
    i lifted the back and put in neutral and spun drive shaft with hand both tires spun same direction but i did same with my pickup that i know does not have a locker or posie trac and both tires turned same way how can i tell if it has a locker/posie
    p.s. did it with my 57 chevy belair and both tires spin same way.

    Pick up one of the rear tires, then put the truck in neutral. Spin the tire that is off the ground. If it spins easy, then you have an open or a worn out posi. If it takes a fair amount of power to turn, but it does turn it is a posi. It it won't turn at all it is a locker.

    ok i did that my blazer has a new posie and it spun not as easy as my truck but it spun ok
    let me know if anyone else kows something different
