Hey Knight and BigB, I need a motor. Im open to anything so if you have a line on one let me know. I had to take my 2WD out this weekend and get it stuck in the mud just for old times sake.

Hey WK, Think I would be interested in that. I know of a couple other blazers around that might be interested also. Let me know when and where. Chris

Okay guys I'll set up a mini-run in the best area I know of around the metro plex, now don't get mad when I say its only 150 yards from my house...It's got mud, dirt hills, rock hills, long arse trails, water crossings, and a cul de sac to park all the rigs in before we get started..I'll set it up and post a note on this section of the Forum. Lake Tex you're welcome to ride with me if'n you want to!!..WK

I'm in if it's after mid April or so. Still got a little work to get done between now and then to be trail ready. Steve has a 4x4 events calander that you could probably get on once you have the details worked out...

Guys this thing will be very low key, no national TV coverage, won't invite clinton, I'll go to the site when I get something nailed down, looking at the end of April right now everyone cool with that? Now one or two day run?, there is a local motel (cheap & clean within eyesite of the area! You guys gonna bring spouses, if so and they don't 4 wheel they could hang with my wife for the day, plenty of malls close by. In the event of trouble I have welders and a Four Wheel parts supply house, and a Auto Zone within 3 miles of the trails. Let me know if there is anything else we need to cover...WK

End of April sounds good. If I'm lucky I may have my jimmy's frame fixed.
Would the run be open for other vehicles?
If it is I may convince my brother-in-law to bring his Grand cherokee, he took it once to 360 and he loved it, but I'm still hearing from my sister about a scratch in the hood he got. It somehow is my fault for telling him to come.
I can also tell other wheelers/friends, but they have jeeps.
I heard that area (Benbrook) is pretty nice.

    Looking forward to more news

    Take care
    Javier

    Re: Texas Running

Im in. I should have a motor in a week or 2. Is there room to camp out there without getting hassled? As far as being closed to other vehicles, dont we welcome all of our 4WD brothers? Unlike those pesky jeep only guys.

I appreciate all your hard work WK! Can we camp out there? Also I'm a novice at this, is it too hard core? If not I'm in. I'm just getting started on my truck, should be ready by April no problem.

    Re: Texas Running

Hell it ain't closed to other vehicles, I just hate scraping jeeps of my windshield!!!! Everybody is welcome. I wouldn't camp out there if I was you, believe it or not there is wolves and coyotes running around there..and two legged wierd-o's, you can pitch a tent in my front yard...and there is some hard core stuff there, and a very good splattering of easy stuff also, anybody can get through most of it, if you've got 4 wheel drive...two wheel you're gonna have some trouble..and if it rains EVERYBODY will have trouble. If you're interested in going, email me at makimberlin@hotmail.com so I can get you're address's and stay in touch....WK

Sorry these trails are as far south as I go, and they're actually 150 yards north of the house..I heard about some trails down at Killeen, but don't know anything about them, they're suppose to be on the Base and you have to make reservations with the Military to ride there, thats all I know. Check with Big Burb he was stationed there for a while he might know something...WK

Hey collegek5er, I cant remember the name of the place, but I saw it on a trail review on a club page. Its a private ranch north of Lufkin. One fee for the weekend($25?), campin(h20 & elec.) and like 1000 acres of trails. Looked really cool.
