can anybody give me a link to the post about the z71 that the guy put a solid front on with 10" springs and 39.5 swampers. Seems like it was a few weeks ago but I have searched and searched and can't find it.

    Yup, that was my post.

Hopefully within a week I can finally back it out of the garage!

I get goosebumps every time I see that truck! Why can't Chevrolet have trucks come from the factory like that? They'd sell more... at least I'd buy one! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I was thinking of useing a 2wd 3/4 ton. Use a divorced 205 and a front dana 60 (which I already have). Seems like that would be easiest and cheapest way to go. Does anybody know if thats a common route to take. Truck would already have a strong tranny and rear end. How do the trannys on those trucks compare to a TH400 in strength?

There is a guy around here that did that with a 2WD '95 1-ton chevy. He used a divorced 205 and chevy 60 up front. He linked the front with coils and it looked awesome. He said it was really pretty easy to do coils because the upper buckets were already there so he had to just fab up the lower mount.
