My power steering has been acting up lately...

when I first start the /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif and drive off, all is well, the steering is nice and "loose" feeling, as it should be. However, if I turn a corner and get on the gas, it gets all tight and feels like I have no power steering at all anymore, for a while... until it eventually works itsself back to feeling "loose".

Sorry for the terrible description, but does anyone have any idea's what the heck could be wrong? Its got fluid and its not overheating (that I can tell). I only run a 32" tire, new power steering pump, old steering box. Air in the steering gear?

    Thanks!

well what i can think of is make shure your front axle isnt engaging as this might change steering feel. Then check the belt if its loose or has glazing and such it might not be able to keep up whith the demand.

Bueller? No one has had anything like this happen to them?

I was thinking that maybe the steering gear is tweaked or going out?...
