I can't roll my window down from the outside anymore. I am pretty sure the part you stick the key in and turn needs to be replaced. Have any of you guys done this and how hard is this? Any tips or hints?

    Thanks

You can tear it down and "fix" the contacts, which in my experience, get dirty. If it works from the interior switch, but not the key switch, that is likely the problem. Search for tailgate fix posts, its been covered a few times...heck, search by my username back about 3 months, and you should see a couple threads on tailgates in there, and how to fix/work on them. But you gotta dig through all my other posts first : )

Its not a big deal to fix it. Just take off the inspection cover and the whole thing is held in by 2 bolts. Take them off and disconnect the connections and thats about it... mine was corroded too bad to be fixed....so I threw on a soft top /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
