I was going to try to clean up the engine bay a bit with motor cleaner and a my bud's power washer. I was going to leave the it running to. Good idea or a bad one? Thanks mike

Well, no plugs to get wet, so shouldn't matter.

OTOH, if you get water into bad places do you want it running where you can bend a rod or not (where you prolly won't bend a rod if you start it).

Personally, I'm judicious with the power washer and careful and leave it running.

if you do it when its running i would stay away from the injector pump, i've been told that cold water on a hot pump can cause the pistons in it to lock up.

This is true, I would do this with the engine off.

Stay away from the injector pump no matter what. Water in there is bad mojo. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
