any ideas on why my passenger power window will work goin' down, but not up

(i've disconnected the motor from the window and plugged it in and it still wont 'turn' itself in the up direction, only down...)

The motor should be reversable. Run one wire to positive and the other to negative and it will go up then reverse the wires and it will go down. If your window was only going one way using the switch then I would suspect the switch is bad.

    Good Luck

most likely one of the switches. But i would also inspect the wiring in the door jambs. the constant flexing of the wires can cause them to break. mostly the drivers side. the power goes through the drivers side switch first, then to passenger side.
