Q: What kind of firearms were used?

    A: Three rifles were used.

    1) Savage Model 110 FP in .223

    2) Savage Model 12 FV in .22 - 250

    3) New England Firearms Sportster in .17 HMR

These rifles along with the optics and load combinations are highlighted in the video.

We were using .223's, .220 Swifts, and .222 Mags when I went 12yrs ago. Guess I didn't remember that much carnage. Need to get another Hi-power and go again.

I missed out on my annual trip last summer. Not next summer. I think that is some of the funnest hunting that can be had. I use all .223's with ballistic tips. Explosive energy.

Hornady SX's work pretty good too. First thing they touch turns them into a shrapnel grenade. Never had one ricochet off a rock. Got to be careful using them in Swift's or 22-250's though, their velocity can make the SX's explode at the muzzle. Thats kinda cool, but makes it dang hard to hit your target.
