How much ya wanna bet? If the polls continue to show Davis low and not much chance of him winning the CA recall election, at the last minute he will RESIGN and there will be no recall due to the fact that Beustamonte will take over as Governor. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Good possibility. Do you think Davis is that smart? Then again, I'm sure he has enough advisor's to tell him that. Man, I'm glad I don't live there anymore.

He was smart enough to be re-elected in the first place wasn't he? Of course he's not going to do it untill the very last moment. And then all the efforts by the republicans to take over the state will be in vain. I don't know about the rest of the country but in CA democrats outnumber the republicans by 2 to 1. You don't think the democrats are going to just hand over the state to the Terminator do you?

One of the dumber things that Davis did was not inform the public that the State Controller is a republican. He's the guy that does the book keeping. Davis could have said that the controller cooked the books and made it show a phony dephiset. (sp) And as we all know, if you set two book keepers down with the same books, both will come out different depending on the motivation.... The Democrats should have demanded an audit and all this stuff about the state being broke would have disappeared. Just a matter of doing the books differently. So he IS dumb in a way...

I dunno, from what I have seen, he is extremely full of himself. He may think he is invincible and try to stick it out. Of course, I am not from Kali, so WTF do I know. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

You may be right, but if he expects to hang on to what little dignity he has left he will do what ever the democratic party asks of him. This is going to be fun to watch. Too bad the rest of us peons have to eat what ever is handed to us.

I agree with ya that Bustamante is the next governor and I think that your idea is a very strong possibility.

Hmmmmmmm....... So you mean that even if the recall doesn't happen, the election will still go on? I'll ask my dad about that. He's a retired state senator...

OK Folks... I checked with Dad and he told me that yes.... there would still be an election for a new governor even if Davis resigned and let the Leutenint Governor take over. So I guess my original senario is down the toilet but at least Davis won't be in charge of ruining CA anymore. It will now be up to someone else to ruin it...

How the hell do you spell Leutenint? Geeeesh it sux with now spell check..... I feel like Paul.... /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I dunno who to vote for. Arnold is not appealing to me with his ideas on gun control. We already have enough laws. I don't get why we need more. Like criminals stop and say, "Dang, I can't go out and rob banks and murder people, my gun is illegal." Plus his campaign manager is spewing out crap that is turning me off. Saying we don't pay enough in property taxes. He can shove it. We are in debt because all the losers at the capital here and in DC took wtf they wanted and pissed it off.... they all suck, and all should be recalled, into the ocean on a raft headed for Iraq....

You may want to be head of security at my new place of business in Nevada when we open Bubba. I think you would like the area and we are going to need one anyways for the airport. This way you would be out of CA along with me and my ladies... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Bringing that up is kind of funny......

Back in the day when I was getting out of the Army, I was surfing America's Job Bank one day and actually found a listing for that at a place, think it was out by Elko.

Only paid $7 an hour, but room and board and meals while on duty (10 hour days I believe) were all paid for. I got the info and called, but the listing had already closed. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
