I got to talking to an older man with a preformace cam (Summit item 122022 i think) Its brand new and he said he would sell it to me for 89 and give me a realistic cb...is it okay to put in my 350? He said it gives them a bunch more hp...would that be okay in my 350?

It depends on the amount of lift and duration @ 0.50. Tell us that and we might help a little more. If your engine has many miles you may need to replace valve springs or even do a complete valve job.
