I would like to do some civic involvement in the NorCal Big Dawgs name, and i think it would be great if we all got involved.

With the upcoming holiday season, i think it would be great if we could all chip in at least $10 to help the less fortunate.

I would like to do something for Christmas time, so i am leaning towards the toy drive. We could pack all the toys into a club memebers blazer and drop them off. The firefighters and marines both usually have drive that benifit needy children.

Step up and doing something for our community!

reply here with suggestions or commitments of donations

    thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

Could I make some toys for the kids with my new bender?

I'll bet I could make a kick-a$$ Barbie once I figure out the technique....

Seriously though, that's a good idea and I'm with you on it. Whatever you need.....

i think the marines do a distribution for the Bay Area. I think loading them up in one truck and arranging a drop off for some possible pub would be a good idea.

We could arrange a rally, where they have the drive-up drop off and have all the trucks lined up and drop they toys off.

either way i think it would be good to remember the less fortunate during the holidays...especially the kidz

I'm in! If we're gonna line the trucks up, we should get the flag for who ever is up front! I can take some of my brothers Transformers!!

I'm down... I can send a check to someone. Heck I work for the Sac City School system I can think of alot families off hand who could benefit from this if you are looking for someone to actually donate too....

I think that there are programs where you can "adopt a family" too. With the ecomomy the way it is maybe we could find a nice blue collar family that's down on their luck and give them a great christmas. Toys for mom, dad, and the kids. Maybe even adopt more than one family, depending on how many want to be involved.

would we rather do a "family adoption" or a general toy drive?

    i am for the latter.
