    92 Camaro with a 305 with TBI.
What all do I need from the donor (he's swapping to a carb for street use). What should I offer for the set up?

You need pretty much his entire engine harness - which he will still need a lot of. You could go aftermarket for the harness. I have paid 300-350 for complete setup ups for 350 TBI, including TBI unit, harness, computer, distributer, manifold, and all sensors.

okay, he's keeping the motor in his car. I want to buy his
TBI setup and add them to my truck. He wants his motor to still run of course. I can buy the painless harness for around $280. Will I have to swap injectors? If I buy the tbi stuff from him for $300, and the harness for 280 that puts me at around $600 bucks. How much more will I be spending? I really need some good advice on this one fellas. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

another possiblility is swapping his complete motor and harness/computer etc. (92' 305) for my goodwrench 350 with quadrajet. Would this work? Is this worth it

I would not swap a 350 for a 305. I think you should be careful. I prefer all factory swaps, including the harnesses, they are cheaper and I think easier to troubleshoot/repair. You should probably hold out for a complete 350 system. Unless he is practically giving it to you.
