For some reason my Canon S520 won't work.
I looked on the repair manual and it says to shut it off, and unplug the power to fix it. I did that...still broken. Then it says if it doesn't work, phone the canon place.
So can anyone help me? When I turn it on, it makes a noise...the 3 noises like its stuck. When I lift up the cover the ink cartrigles don't move to center like normal. its stuck. We're getting a new printer...75 bucks:crazy: but if I can fix this, it will be good.
Anyone know how to get it unstuck? we're not sending it to canon because they will chanrge us too much.

Printers are pretty much disposable these days

I bought a $45 Canon i350, cheaper than replacing the ink in my broken HP5550.

I just buy a new printer. Its cheaper than replacing the ink cartriges. Got a an HP scanner/printer/copier for less than $90 at SAMS CLUB.

    BTW Welcome back Steve. :xmas:

Well I guess we can just buy a new printer...but I still want to find out why this one won't work. BTW we just spend 30 bucks on new ink a day before it died:blush:

LOL jail? Thats no too bad:blush:

I plugged it in on top of the desk and tried to see what was wrong. Can't see anything. ANYONE have ANY idea what is wrong? I don't want to be defeated by it. It can't just DIE out of knowwhere! Although my mom has been doing a lot of printing lately...overheated it maybe?

why do you want to talk to her?
The new printer is slow starting up, but it prints fast afterwards. Do you guys leave your printer ON all the time? This one has a green light by the power button that stares at me.

I think it has something to do with the lack of emotion on your part of this transcript:
