Well, my truck is still acting up. When i turn my truck off it sputters and clunks around and has backfired but only twice since august. Thanks to everyone that helped me with the choke problem because i got that all worked out. However, my truck still sputters and clunks when i turn it off. As a temporary solution someone told me to turn it off while in gear. That worked for about a week but today when i got to school i turned it off in drive and it still sputtered...so i'm thinking it's gonna be the carb? If anyone has any recommendations on how to fix this and/or what I should do about my carb (whether it be re-build the thing or get a new one, in which case i'd really appreciate what kind [i have a quadraJUNK right now]) That's about it, thanks alot for all of the help.
    God Bless
    Charlie

Did you do a basic tune up on it yet? (Cap and Rotor, Plugs and wires, and as everyone else said Timing) May also be a Vac leak. Check all vac hoses. I had one crack off and the same symptoms happened. I felt around and plugged the California emissions crap back in. It runs like a champ. Good luck KEN

    DANGIT it's not a bronco!
