    could be rough idle one of the problems of a leak in the throtle shaft?, lack of power?, what else?,

    the marks in the front cover and the inj pump are not aligned, and the engine it's too noisy, should i align the marks? thanx in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

    The marks indicate timing. If the pump mark is to the left of the timing cover mark, then the pump is advanced.

    If it's to the right, it's retarded.

    As the engine ages, the pump can be advanced to help make up for the timing chain stretching.

    To set timing properly, you apparently need a luminosity light.

    Playing with the marks by ear is a bad thing.
