They undercut State Farm by $300 every 6 months for me. I guess it all depends who you are...including your credit rating.

I didn't know your credit rating had anything to do with insurance rates.

    thats cheap!

To insure a vehicle here with the absolute minimum mandatory covarage (compulsary),it costs me, a driver with a "9" rating, which means no accidents or claims for well over 6 years, about 550 bucks a year!..glass now has a 100 dollar deductable ,no more "free" windsheilds..and "optional" fire and theft coverage adds another 100 bucks to the bill..

We can't insure with companies like Geico or Progressive, they don't have coverage available in our state..the STATE sets insurance rates here..this year they are crowing about giving us a 8.9% reduction in rates, which will lower the average "bill" by 95 dollars..:surepal: :mad1: (where's the "jerking off" smiley when you need it??)..:p:

..I'm glad they aren't going up,but our attourney general who's running for govenor next year claims a 20-25% reduction COULD have been implemented, but our govenor met the insurance companies "halfway" and screwed us again as usual..

..I haven't had an accident or filed a claim since the 80's--never had an accident that was my fault, and I hit them..always the opposite!..I wish I could get all that money back I wasted the past 20 years paying over 1200 bucks a year for insurance.. ...

Lets not forget the crap cans that sue for $3,000,000 because their neck hurts. Rampant lawsuits, I think, are the reason for the hikes. I actually don't know anyone that has been in an accident and NOT gotten sued...this includes my grandmother.

Maybe it's just me....but I really don't like the idea of government regulating insurance premiums. If I wanted that, I'd move to a communist country.

I think those that bring forth frivolous lawsuits should be fined severely!

progressive.com, or any other online quote place can not give me a quote because i drive a "comercial" truck. (ram 3500 Diesel) i have Farmers, and they always cost more but the service you get is kind of worth it. i pay 950 for 6 months and i claim i drive 26k miles between the 2 rides i inssure. i also have my trailer set up for 35k in coverage and my room in the barracks for renters incurance at 90k dollars.

some people say it is best to claim something once every 5 eyars as it will nto raise your rates and you can put the money you have put in to use. just get soem new toys on the ride and make sure its a pole or somethign yuo drag the side of the car accross... i dont see it, but i do agree inssurance is a waste of money.
