Great looking blazer! Did you get a load of the bumpers that they installed? I didn't catch the name of the company that made them. Anyone catch the name?

That Blazer is awesome, but they could have saved themselves alot of money and made a more real world blazer. They spent way to much $ on the axles, it would have been alot more real world if they would have used a 14 bolt and Dana 60 that were rebuilt, not custom ordered. Also the MTR's they used are really expensive. They could have got swampers a lot cheaper.

Man I love the color of that thing, but I don't know about the bumpres---looks like they are just begging to get torn off by a rock. Just a little too gawdy lookin.

You can rest assured they didn't "PAY" for any of that. It was most likely sponsorship indorsements.

I know, but wouldn't it still make more sense to use parts people can afford. If they would have used a 14 bolt and D60 out of a scrap yard, and rebuilt them it would have been alot more real world and a lot more helpful to someone who wanted to do something like this. Not to mention tires that are like $300 or $400 each. You can get the 37" bogger that would cost less and look alot cooler. I know personally I would have got my bumpers from SEC or Steve Frisbie's place. They are lighter, cheaper, and just as functional. Shows like that should be for real world people, and feature real world products that wouldn't make you sell your soul to get.

yea I love trucks, just caught that episode today, hate the fact that the show is getting more and more mainstream, when it first started it was more of the real world stuff it seemed like, like the blazer just that color and those bumpers don't go together, truck should be walmart flat black to make the bumpers blend in. They look great for those parking lot posers but in reality they cost you way too much clearance space around your truck.

    Like em big and topless
Excuse me...Would you mind removing your import from under my chevy?

I agree with you a 100 percent. I'm just jealous that those bastards get all the goodies. I wish there was a show that dealt with the problems similar to those we discuss on this forum. Any of you guys into TV?!

Smittybuilt makes a cool ass set of front and rear tubular bumpers for 73-91 Chevys. You won't find them in any magazine though. I saw them on a local off-road shop owners suburban. He told me he got them out of his vender only catalog. I hope to get em before they're discontinued. They don't sell very well. They are about $800 for the set.

Re: Project Big Blaze is on

I havent seen any that I know of! I MAY have seen one of the 1st ones when they 1st got it but I am not sure. (been cable-less for a while) [IMG] But got it back yesterday. [IMG]

Does anyone know what time it comes on today? I havent figured out how to use the program guide yet. LOL!

I caught the end of it yesterday, where he was welding in the patch panel. His welding helmet is pretty cool lookin. I have a Snap-on auto dark helmet, and have considered painting it w/ flames, but using it everyday like I do will just beat it up again.

Has anyone seen the face masks?? they have a pig face, a skull, robot, gorilla, ETC. A buddy of mine bought the skull mask, and has never used it. (dont want to scratch it) [IMG]
