Here are pictures of the most recent project I just bought.
It's the 76 Blazer with the 454.. I posted details a few days ago.. Well.. I had to get started.. I'm painting the truck Olive drab .. love that military style look..
Truck is 1/2 done.. Now comes cutting the roof off to make it full convertible. Still contimplating that idea.. we'll see.
Anyway's.. here are the progress pics.. http://www.rocko.rockcrawler.com

I just did a little surface sanding.. fine grain sandpaper..
    Then no primer..
I'm using Rustoleum's "Camoflauge" paint.. Dark Forest Green and Flat Black.
If any spot's look bad.. I go back over them with Sand paper then re-blast it..
Not to concerned with overall "quality".. I dig the non-reflective paint.. and the way the Military paint's their vehicles.. Lot's of overspray... gotta love it..

Looks great... I want to spray paint my truck... but my dad (I know some of you are gonna kill me if I keep talking about him) thinks if I'm gonna have it painted I should have a nice glossy job done professionally... not spray painted a flat color in the driveway :)

79 K5 Blazer Cheyenne.... That's all I have to say about that.

Gets me thinking, maybe I'll do the body work and rattle-can her until I can afford to get it done professionally. I need some black powdercoated wheels if I go OD though, chrome won't work!

The Rustoleum Camo paint goes on pretty thick.. doesn't run.. and coat's really well... So far I only have one coat done on it.. Plan on two.
So far I've only used 3 can's of Olive Drab..
    And Half can of Black.
The mirrors, wheels, Bumpers, door handles, and grille will all be done in Black..
The rest.. well.. Olive Drab... with the genuine overspray..
I'll take many pics... I have one side left to do.. and find a new hood.. Then I'm done w/ Painting..
Then on to tuning up the 454.

How much did that paint run ya? I was gonna paint my truck today bought some Krylon OD paint got home and went to spray it and the damn paint wouldnt work it would spray a bit and then quit. It was $4.49 a can I took it all back. They didnt believe me so they tried a can themselves and it did the same to them.

    Hey Riz..
I have time cause I'm currently un-employed.. That can be good and bad.. I want to start working so I can start funding my new to me truck..
Slowly but surely... Plus it helps having Friends as fanatical as I am.. Thanks Batmanjr aka Bruce.. [IMG].
The paint I'm using is this:
    Rustoleum "Specialty" Non-Reflective Camoflauge
    Dark Forest Green P/N 1919
    Flat Black P/N 1916
Found them at Home Depot for $3.38 a can. Bought a case of Forest Green and 4 Flat Blacks..
I like the way it goes on.. the way it coats and it doesn't rub off.
    Thanks for the Compliments..
Corby... Bring your truck to my house.. i'll let you modify your truck here.. [IMG].
